CAN'T STAND OR WALK: HELP

Our one year old BR Just started acting funny yesterday, she can't stand for long, Falls over side to side & even front words into a somersault... I have checked her for any extra no injuries and nothing... I have given her an Epson salt bath no bumble foot, could anyone help me with what may be wrong with her??

I seperate her during the day Ina pop up pen right outside the run so she can still see & hear the others

It could be a number of things.
Vitamin B2 (riboflavin) deficiency could be a possibility, so you can give her a human B-Complex vitamin (no iron) to see if that helps. Crush it up and add it to her food. If she won't eat, then you can try some scrambled/hard boiled egg, tuna, mackerel or meat. Wet poultry feed is usually a favorite as well, so you can mix any of the above with wet feed and add the vitamins to that. Also add some poultry vitamins to her water (like Nutri-Drench), this is a source of Vitamins E and Selenium, but doesn't have all the Bvitamins in it.

Another consideration would be a neurological illness that affects the legs/balance like Marek's.

MAREK'S VIDEO

My chicken actually is currently having the same problem. She was fine and then half and hour later she was lying on the ground not able to move, her comb was bleeding, and eye closed shut.

We determined (after a seemingly long episode of detective) that a hawk must have tried to get her but instead hit her in the head causing brain damage.

Her legs were fine, just unusable and if we tried to stand her up, she'd fall on her face.

The scrapes must have been pecking from other chickens because she was so weak after the incident. After a few days of giving her "Poultry Cell" (able to be found at any poultry or farm feed store), some probiotics in her water, and keeping her separate in a cage with some bedding and water, (this is the most important!!) she is starting to be able to walk again, although still a little wobbly, she can walk around all she wants. We still keep her separated, though.

Totally unrelated, but we also just found out that she has absolutely horrible mites or lice........ the poor chicken.
