Can't tell if this is a hen or rooster

This little one is about 12 weeks old. He has almost no comb whatsoever but his tail feathers are a mess and I swear he has some iridescence in his feathers. Three of good siblings have large dark red combs and waddles and were easy to identify but we are struggling with this one.

Looks female to me as well. Iridescent feathers aren't necessarily an indication of the bird being male, I have black Cochins and they all have "green sheen black" feathers, Rhode Island Reds will have deep green sheen tail feathers in both genders.
 
I'm not seeing any pointy saddle or tail feathers, so my guess would be pullet. You can definitely get a good iridescent shine on a black hen the same way you can a roo! I myself have a big beautiful black pullet that shimmers green like a lovely bug :)
