Hi everyone. Quick question regarding treatment of Capillaria with Safeguard paste. I know it is .23ml/lb for 5 days. My question is should treatment be repeated after 10 days, and if so, would it be for another 5 days or just 1 day?

I did see what I believe are Capillaria in one of my hens stool that has been having diarrhea. They were tiny clear/white and very fine; barely noticeable but I saw them moving. I am now on day 4 of Safeguard and the hen continues to have diarrhea. I had also previously treated for coccidiosis. Her comb and legs are pale; more so in morning and improves throughout the day though still pale. She acts totally normal. Any thoughts on this?

Can you post some photos of the poop and of her?

Could it have been Cecal worms or tapeworms? I don't believe you would see Capillary worms in the poop at all.

These are tapeworm proglottids. Cecal worms look like tiny roundworms.

I can try to get a picture but only saw the worms once before I started treatment. They were super tiny and had I not seen it move would not have noticed it.
