Caponizing a rooster

I was interested also. Love my roosters but would like to calm them down so they wouldn’t be tearing up my hens feathers. Thought it might take the aggression and drive to mount every hen in sight so I wouldn’t have to separate them.

Put a chicken diaper on him and keep him separate at night. He can do the action but not hit the bullseye.

lol...….I want his urge to mount to go away so he doesn't tear up the feathers on the hens backs...….. not worried about fertile eggs. I basically want a gay rooster..... Roosters are so beautiful.

My hens are sooo happy our roo is gone .. the deciding factor was when I saw blood running down the side of my hen from under her wing from his overly exuberant mounting ☹️.

He was fantastic with us , a perfect rooster ,but it’s much nicer here without him now

I can't get over your "gay rooster":lau:lau:lau I literally laughed out loud! I hope you find a way to make it work! It's hard making those decisions about our pets.:welcome
