So I just keep putting the same amout of medicine in new water every day for 7-10 days....am I sure he's going to get enough of it to do the job of killing any infection? Or do you know of any way to concentrate it so I'm certain? Oh man, so much to learn here....and I think I read somewhere that after they're done with the antibiotics to make sure to give them something with live probiotics to replace the good gut flora....this sound right??? And thank you again! lol

No prob.make sure you make it fresh every day,its only good for 24 hrs.I put sugar in mine to make it taste better.Ive never heard of a way to concentrate it.I give plain greek yogurt after the antibiotics are done.Youre welcome again.

I also have learned tons of things from these wonderful people, its a great forum.

Yes, I gave 1/2 to 3/4 teaspoon to 1 quart of water, fresh daily for a week. Don't give any milk products during the treatment but like kyrose said, yogurt after will be great.

The only thing NOT to do, is to give it eternally. Don't pour the whole bottle on him, as too much of it for ANY living thing is toxic to your liver. I put it on my miniature poodle's belly in summer when she gets nasty bug bites from mosquito. I also use it for fleas, works like a charm! No ill effects. Just don't pour it on.

I would try to determine where the bone is broken. If it is near a joint it is more difficult because there may be tendon or ligament damage too. If it is close to a joint I'd include the joint in the splint. Think of it like your splinting your finger and the break is the knuckle. You'd apply a splint below your finger then you'd apply wrap/tape on both ends. There would be no need to completely tape the entire finger and by leaving the middle exposed you allow for swelling. When an injury is trying to heal and it is swelling, by applying cast or wrap too tightly forces the pressure "in" and that can cause damage to the vascular and nervous systems.
Wishing you and lucky a speedy recovery.
