Sorry I haven't been updating you all as often...Lucky's still doing pretty fantastic!
His legs really haven't shown much improvement as far as the suspected scaly mites go, but some of the bruising he suffered has started to fade a little

I'll be giving him his "booster" dose of Ivermectim on Wednesday in hopes that it will help clear up any "bugs" it may have missed the first time, though I never did see any even while inspecting with a magnifying glass.
I did have to move him to the coop, he's got his own space in a large dog crate and I think he really like the company of the ladies and other little roos...I know it may have been a little premature to move him, but the hubby was less entertained daily by Lucky's happy crowing...lol Another plus to moving him is that the REALLY cold weather hasn't quite set in yet and moving him in 40 F is a little kinder than moving him in below freezing weather....his crate is set up so that no drafts get to him when the door is open during the day and he's right in front of the big picture window with the southern exposure...sun warms him up quite nicely even when it is freezing outside.
He also kind of let me know he wanted out when he jumped out of the basket again and was hopping across the table towards my houseplants and looking out the window at all the girls in the front yard

Every couple days I change out his bedding and sprinkle DE in to help keep it fresh and kill any bugs that may be...he still gets his eggs or other warm foods in the morning with crushed eggshell sprinkled on....the ladies are quite jealous! lol and he crows loud and proud like the cool dude he is...I figure the 2nd week of Dec will make it 6 weeks that he's been here and has had his leg splinted, I may "flirt" with the idea of removing it, but I really don't want to jump the gun on that in case his bone is not quite set...and once the splint is off, more external treatment of his legs can take place again....there is the possibility that he's just got rough looking legs though right? He's no "spring chicken"...perhaps with a hard life comes a rough exterior?

I'll try to get some pictures uploaded tomorrow of Lucky and his new digs for you all...and once again, I thank you for all of he support, kind words and encouragement...BYC ROCKS!!!
