Caravan - Open Fantasy RP - Jump right in!

Bree saw that the door was ajar, and he was gone, she immediately narrowed her eyes, running outside she quickly found his tracks, one light almost indistinguishable footprint, and one heavy, probably from his injury, "HE'S GONE!" Bree yelled towards the house, as she started off running after him, following his tracks, knowing he would be moving slower.

Linden's fingers gripped the doorway tighter, he was gone? How could he be? He had been put into a prison cell for goodness sakes!

"Bloody he**..." He cursed loudly, staring across the island towards the bandit caves. These scumbags were determined to make their life difficult. He knew Merek was injured--badly, but he didn't feel like he was in any shape to begin chasing the runaway man in circles all night...

The greater worry to him than Merek getting away, however, was that the bandit could potentially come back to the house while they were sleeping. He didn't want to think about Terrick or Mavis, defenceless already, waking up with Merek's hands around their throats.

The tracks led Bree straight to the water's edge. But as she looked out across the still, moonlit water, there was no sign of the man...

Raven said something in elvish and watched Bree follow the tracks to the water then looked to Linden at the doorway, trying to think. "He knows how to get over here, so it will not be safe to stay, but none of you can walk out of here without rest." She studied Linden for a moment longer quietly then spoke again "I can call on some friends of mine to take you back to the caravan, but you may not like the method of travel."

Bree's eyes narrowed, this was irritating to say the least, she looked in the water for signs of blood, but only found faint traces flowing in the current, she said something in elvish which has no meaning in the language of man, but it is sufficient to say, it was not nice. Bree walked back up to the house, angry, and trying to figure how he escaped.

"How?" Linden looked at Raven with tired eyes. The caravan was such a long ways away... and who would carry Mavis and Terrick? Heck, who would carry him?

"The animals of the forest are my friends. They will carry you if I ask them to." Raven replied, watching for his reaction. "This forest has been mine for a very long time. I should not have left it for so long." She said the last softly as if to herself.

From the cot within the house, Terrick could only catch bits of the conversation outside the door, but had gathered that the bandit had escaped and that Raven was suggesting he ride on some forest creature. Oh brother! "You got something I could use as a crutch instead? Not sure I fancy the idea of being jostled about by a bony backed deer."

He laid his head back down on his pillow. Though the bread and water had made him feel a good deal better, he was still not anxious to be up and moving again.

Raven looked in and shook her head a little "You don't need to walk that distance, I could call on the bears, or an Ent." She paused then nodded at her thought "Yes, I can call on the Ent and he can carry everyone at once, and we will be less likely to be attacked."

Linden looked in worriedly at Terrick. "Are you sure we can't fortify the house for the night? Traveling in the dark with so many is dangerous... Merek is pretty injured. He won't get far, and I don't think he would be able to break in if we at least barred the windows."
