Amber looked up at the sound of chains. She stood and moved to the treeline to find the source of the sound. When she saw the girl she paused then stepped out of concealment. The half elf watched the blond girl for a moment longer before speaking "Hello"

(I dont have a name for her yet.. so shes going to be 'the young girl' for a bit)

The girl jumped causing the chains to jangle loudly. She started to shake making the chains rattle more. "You arent going to make me go back are you?" She asked.

Seeing no reason to be rude and ignore her, Mavis offered his hand as well. "Mavis Reed," he replied. "In most other cases I would also add that it was nice to meet you, but I don't think that fits the occasion. In fact, I'm rather distressed that I met you at all." He looked away from her for a second and peeled his wet clothes away from his skin (without actually taking anything off of course :p ) so that they were fitted more loosely and could dry better.

Karin smiled and peeled her dress away from her skin aswell. "Well... I could help you. I know the forest and just about everything in it. I could let you go and help you find you friends if you let me travel with you." She looked up at the grey clouds. "Of course. If you died it wouldnt be my fault."

"No" Amber answered "You want to get those off?" She asked "I'm sure I have something in my camp that can get them off you." She said gesturing the way her camp was.

(Her name is now Lily)

Lily was still shaking. "Im going to get in trouble! Shes gonna make me go back!" The little girl thought. She had run away from some people who had kidnapped her and many other children like her. When they had fallen asleep she had managed to escape and was now here. She looked at the chains then back at the woman. "I-i-i....Just...Y-yes..." she said her voice small

Mavis cocked a brow and tilted his head to look up at her. He realized that she wanted to leave the bandits as much as he did, but he wasn't sure yet that he trusted her entirely. After all, she was one of the bandits who assisted in robbing them, and possibly killing several of his friends. The alternative wasn't any better, however, so he elected to go along with her plan and try and find the caravan again. "Okay." He agreed. "Of course, if the guards killed you once we found them it wouldn't be my fault either."

Rorik, finally able to recover slightly from the previous blow, tried to dodge out of the way of Linden's blade. But he did not manage to get far enough and the bandit gasped in shock as Linden's blade impaled him. And just as the light of life left Rorik's eyes, a small line of blood running from the corner of his mouth, the back flaps the canvas were pulled open and the remaining bandits looked in at the scene within...

Linden remained hunched over Rorik's body, his hands gripping the end of the sword tightly. Beads of sweat ran down his forehead, the salt causing the wound on his forehead caused by the wagon hitch to sting painfully. Now that the intense moments of battle were over the adrenaline pumping through his veins began to fade away, no longer masking his exhaustion. He heard the canvas at the back of the wagon being pulled open and stood up away from the bandit leader, jerking the sword up and out of Rorik's chest. With the guards gone and nobody to help him, he knew it was pointless to even attempt to fight the rest of the bandits. He didn't, however, want to die on his knees begging for his life, so he raised his sword to the faces peering in the back of the wagon and uttered a quick prayer.

Karin shrugged. "Alright. We need to stop by the base any way. I need to get some stuff." Karin grabbed mavis' arm and pulled him down a well hidden path. "Path of th banfits." She explained. "Our base is this way." She walked towards a large oak tree.

Algar had been fully intending to jump inside the wagon and start handing crates and barrels down to the others, but paused in surprise at the scene that met his eyes. Rorik was dead. Their leader of almost the last eight years... was gone.

Algar shed his hesitation quicker than the others and realized that Rorik's death left a great opportunity for one that could claim it. Someone would have to step in and take charge of the group. Why shouldn't it be him?

"Col, Rook, 'round front, quick!" he barked at two of the men standing next to him, intending to have them cut off Linden's escape from the front of the wagon. At his prompting, they sprang into action and hustled toward the front. Algar looked straight Linden, sizing him up and noting the man's wounds. "Drop your blade if you value your life..."

Mavis hesitated and didn't follow Karin willingly at first. His eyes sought out the place where he had seen the guards disappear, hoping to spot them, but they were gone. Reluctantly he admitted to himself that his best chance was indeed to follow Karin, because any attempt to even reach the other two wagons would likely be noticed by the remaining bandits. With a sigh of regret, he turned away from the wagon and followed Karin.

Karin slipped behind the tree and disapeared. She reapeared a second later with a rope. Nottruting mavis intirly she tied the rope round his wrist and tied it to a branch. "Stay here." She ran off back behind the oak and went down a hidden staircase. Once in the base she went to her room and grabbed a bag. She put cloths food towels rope a picture a knife for her self a sword and a map. After packing everything she returned to mavis and untied him. "Alright lets go." She walked off not sure if he followed.
