Caravan - Open Fantasy RP - Jump right in!

Linden turned away from Merek and Col and faced the pit so that they couldn't see the flash of uncertainty that crossed his face. Was there... other people down there? Dead people? He shuddered as he grabbed the rope and turned around to shimmy down the hole. First he got down on his knees, then slowly worked on getting the rest of himself down. Just before his head disappeared into the dark he paused and looked at the bandits again. He looked like he was about to say something, but decided against it. A couple seconds later he was gone.

The pit was about 10' deep, so it wouldn't take Linden long to find the relatively flat bottom. With the deluge of recent rain, the bottom of the pit was slightly wet and muddy.

Merek waited until the tension on the rope disappeared, then pulled the rope back to the top and coiled it again at the edge. Then the two started back toward the cave entrance, taking the only light with them and leaving the caravan guard in complete darkness. "Think this one'll be cryin' for his mother for the night is over?" Col asked Merek, intentionally loud enough for Linden to overhear him.

Raven froze when Brylla stopped, watching the female and waiting for her to continue.

Maybe it was nothing more than a forest animal, but Brylla couldn't shake the thought that she had heard someone following her. Seeing nothing, she turned and continued on her way toward the bandit camp. This time, though, she retrieve the bow that had been slung over her back and knocked an arrow loosely on the string. She altered her path slightly and headed over the crest of a small hill. Once on the other side, she found a large tree and positioned herself behind it, stopping once again to listen and to watch the crest of the hill. If someone was indeed following her, this gave her the best chance to spot them.

Raven hung back for a minute, then followed the female in the open, as though simply going her own way.

(OOC: Raven is an elf, right?)

When the dark haired woman armed with a bow came into view, Brylla studied her for a moment from her hiding spot behind the tree. Had she been traveling with the caravan? Brylla didn't remember seeing her there before, but where else would the woman have come from? Now she must be have been following Brylla to discover the location of the bandit camp! "Hold there, stranger!" Brylla called as she stepped from behind the tree, drawing her arrow and holding it aimed in Raven's direction.

Amber sent the girl another smile and set to work on the locks. She moved with practiced ease and soon had the locks open. "There you go. Never have liked seeing kids chained up."
Lily shook her arms finally they were free with no more chans.

"Let go of me!" Mavis yanked his arm back forcefully and managed to break her grasp. He slid backwards on his butt away from her. "You promised that you would help me find the caravan, I'm not going back to the bandits with you."

"Im not going to take you back! Brylla is just being bossy! Now lets go!" Karin grabbed Mavis's arm again and led him on.

(Yes)
Raven stopped and studied the woman carefully. "Hello" She said her voice soft and musical.

Amber smiled and put her lock-picks away, then turned to the fire and picked up a stick with roasted squirrel on it. "Hungry?" She asked holding it out to Lily

Lily smiled and took the stick greatfully.
Amber nodded and reached for a piece of the jerky she had been making. She was almost ready to set out again and would in the morning. She watched the girl quietly then looked away, to the forest, just listening to the birds as she ate.
