Raven nodded and ran to catch up to Terric

A narrow tunnel sloped slightly downhill, lit only by an occasional torch, led them about 30 feet before it branched. Most of the bandits carrying stolen goods from the wagon took the left tunnel, but Merek and Col directed Linden down the right one. Col grabbed one of the torches from the wall, for this way was unlit. The tunnel was wide enough and tall enough that even Linden could move without fear of striking his head.
Another 20 feet down the tunnel was "the Pit". "You first," Merek said to Linden, sword still in his hand. If the caravan guard fell down the hole on his own, it would certainly save them some trouble of pushing him down there. Merek had yet to see a captive go willingly into that dark hole.
"Down that way and to the left. Dont count on it to be unguarded and dont make more trouble then you have to. I have to take care of something." Luna turned and left going the other way.
The birds surprised the two bandits and Col almost dropped his weapon when the falcon's claws left a long scratch along his left ear. "What the...?" but the birds were already leaving and Col and Merek refocused their attention on Pike. Col, being the faster of the two, reached Pike first and dove forward in an attempt to knock the crossbow away before Pike could fire his shot.
(OOC: Thanks! Im hope you dont mind that Tianea and Luna were friends then they had a fight and Tianea joined the bandits and Luna's gonna get revenge!)(OOC: This is actually a really cool twist, I think.)
Terrick hurried forward, trusting Pike's ability to hold the bandits off. He took the left tunnel and found it well lit. He slowed slightly so that Raven could catch up and then moved cautiously so that he did not stumble into the pit that he expected to find at any moment. But he did not find the pit in the left tunnel, for it was the right tunnel, the one Luna had taken. Instead, he found that the tunnel branched again. Without hesitating, he again choose the branch to the left.

Expecting them to be distracted for longer, by the time Pike had turned away from Raven the two bandits were already making their moves towards him. At such close range he realized that the crossbow wasn't the ideal weapon, and he didn't want to waste an arrow by firing blindly into the dark. Instead, he dropped the weapon behind him onto the stairs and hoped that neither bandit would be able to make it past him to steal it.
Since the entire operation depended on them getting in and out without drawing too much attention to themselves, he knew that if Merek or Col made it into the tunnel and raised the alarm, they'd be sunk for sure. With his hands suddenly free, he swung out with a balled fist towards Col's face as the bandit reached him. He was shorter than both of them, but much stockier and stout.
Raven raised her bow, aiming for Rook. "Company" She whisperedCol reeled backward from the punch, a small trickle of blood appearing under his left nostril. Merek, who was right behind, side stepped quickly to get out of Col's way. Almost at the same time, the birds swooped down again. Merek swore loudly, bringing his weapon up to fend off the hawk and smacked the bird with the flat of his blade, sending it tumbling through the air.
As Col recovered slightly, he moved right, swinging his blade toward Pike's arm while the older bandit moved left, jabbing toward the caravan guard's mid-section with his weapon.

Terrick whispered a curse as the tunnel opened suddenly into a larger chamber with torches along the walls. A few crude tables were set up here, littered with dirty plates, and empty mugs, marking it as the bandit's common area. "This can't be right," he turned to look at Raven, knowing they were taking way too long now.
At the moment, Rook entered from the other end of the tunnel...
