Caravan - Open Fantasy RP - Jump right in!

In the cavern, Linden was sitting against the wall with his head resting behind him. In the cot beside him, Mavis was still sleeping, as he had been for the last hour. The food seemed to have helped his strength, but Linden was still worried about the wound on his forehead which still hadn't been treated, and the broken rib. It seemed like Rook had left hours ago for medication, but he still wasn't back yet and Linden was beginning to think that the skinny bandit had abandoned them all together.

(OOC: Intended or not, she sent Terrick and Raven down the left tunnel and went the other way, which is where the pit is. Even if it was a mistake, we've been going with it for the last couple pages of RP. Nothing saying there can't be some secret way through there to Tianea's chambers.)
(OOC: Okay. Can you send some trouble for Luna? The only ones with any action right now are the birds!)

Sprawled across the ground with Col, Pike was quickly becoming aware of the fact that keeping both bandits away from the cave entrance was more of a task then he had bargained for. Out of the corner of his eye he spotted Merek making a run for it, and shoved Col out of the way to grab the battle club which had fallen from his grasp in the tussle. With it, he swung blindly in Merek's direction as hard as he could, aiming in the general direction of the bandit's legs to trip him up before he reached the entrance. At the same time he began struggling back to his feet, knowing that on the ground he was about as vulnerable and defenceless as a prairie chicken.

The club caught the older bandit just above the ankle and he tripped forward, going head first into the large rock at the edge of the tunnel entrance. Merek slumped down at the edge of the cave entrance, laying face first and not moving.

Col, seeing his friend take the fall, was only halfway back to his feet before launching himself at Pike again, doing his best to plow into Pike's bloodied mid-section.

Pike barely had any time to watch Merek tumble headfirst into the solid rock and slump down motionless. In his brief moment of relief, Col had recovered enough to throw himself back at Pike. Not quite on his feet yet, he was unprepared for the sudden blow and fell backwards again with Col towards the cave entrance with a loud grunt of pain. The attack also served to knock the wind out of him as he fell, and he struggled to regain his breath before Col could draw his knife again.

Raven shook her head "We need to regroup and search the tunnels"

"You're right," Terrick said, shaking off the feeling of hopelessness. He turned and started immediately back toward the entrance where they'd left Pike to deal with the bandit guards.

Col, though, had luckily lost his knife in the clash of a few moments prior. As the two fell right next to Merek's still form, Col landed straddled on top of Pike and reached forward, trying to get both his hands around Pike's throat.

Raven nodded and followed Terrick back to the entrance.

At first Pike felt a small bit unnerved to have landed so close to Merek. The unconscious bandit looked eerily dead, and as tough as he sometimes made it seem like he was, Pike wasn't a killer by any means. The weight of Col sitting on his chest made it difficult for him to regain his breath, and he was still partly gasping and wheezing when the bandit's fingers wrapped themselves around his throat. With the remaining oxygen and strength he had left, Pike grabbed Col's hands with his own and tried to force them upwards and off his neck.
