Carlsbad, California anyone? What are the rules?

Hi.. I'm new here and found this site by googling chicken raising laws. I live in a slightly older neighborhood and am hoping to get 3-4 hens. One neighbor wouldn't care, the other is a germaphobe who will freak out.

A few questions if anyone does live here..

What are the chicken rules.
What is the 4H loop hole.
Any other loopholes I should be aware of?

Hi Andi,

First, you need to know your lot's zoning designation, then go here:

http://library.municode.com/index.aspx?clientID=16245&stateid=9&statename=California

Then in the left side window, click on Title 21` "Zoning", then you will see the various zoning designations, click on yours to see the table of permitted uses
