I'm driving up today. Can anybody reccomend a good place to stay and eat?

How cute!! There are several hotels right off 321 at the downtown Lincolnton Exit. There are also quite a few restaurants on the same road, Fatz is a good one.

Will anyone be bringing duck eggs? I have two girls that are going broody and since I havent gotten around to separating my Scovies and my Swede mixes... Mules are cute but not for me at this point. I would like either Muscovy (any color), Pekin, or Runners (any color) but really anything would be alright. Thanks.

Hampton Inn (beside Lowes) is the newest, cleanest hotel in Lincolnton. I would recommend there. Tons of eating places around where the hotel is located. I live in Lincolnton so holla if you need anything!!!

Welcome to Fall Chickenstock 2012.
Don't know which hwy you are coming up, but we stayed in the Holiday Inn Express in Conover (off Exit 131 I think) for several months before moving to Hickory and it was clean, good hot breakfast comes with the room. Great staff. I also hear there is a nice hotel in Lincolnton and some good home cooking restaurants...does anyone know of the names of these? If you end up in Hickory, the Bob Evans here has good quality food and nice staff too. It is right off exit 126. If I can help you further, let me know.
