~*CAROLINA CHICKENSTOCK "SPRING" 2012*~

I will have some B/B/S Orps that just hatched this week. Also MF d'Uccles and Dark Brahma chicks that are a couple of weeks old already.

What is the best container to bring them in? I have a two hour drive to Lincolnton.

Rubber maid totes work great for transport.

Can anyone suggest a hotel near the grounds or in the area? Since it was quite a drive for us last year we are going to try to come the day before and stay somewhere. At this time it doesnt look like the girls will be cooperating for me to bring young birds.

fill it in and fax it to them, if you are selling chicks (under 8 weeks of age or hatching eggs technically you should also get those licenses also but then you have to mail it in with a check) i got mine back really quickly

I apologize, I know you ask me about that and I just got so busy this past week preparing for the show Saturday that it slipped my mind.

Thank you Amy for posting the local hotels.

I just joined BYC this week and someone mentioned Chickenstock right here practically in my backyard in Ltown! I'm so excited. We're building our first coop now so I'm guessing I will definately be in the market for some chickens. We're looking at getting 5-6 hens to start us out.

Originally I had said I wanted Speckled Sussex and Americaunas....but truthfully, I want whatever works well together in a mix. I'm so new to this. No clue about all these types but I'm trying to learn.

Looking foward to meeting you at Chickenstock!
