So I was thinking about building a pond for ducks and the filtration systems are pretty pricey so I was thinking what if I used carp? They can be found in ponds and rivers and arent mean or very active really. I know a lot of people use koi and goldfish but seeing as I don't have any place around besides Walmart that sells fish I was thinking it would also be easier to obtain. Carp eat mainly algae which ducks supply a ton of the only thing I would really need is a way to get airflow into the pond. Some type of bubbler maybe? I'm not so sure on that. Has anyone else used carp?
