Castor oil to Start Labor

Just good ole fashion love making helps speed the process. When she orgasims it actually is tiny contractions that is known to induce labor if she's ready.I have 4 kids and believe me it does work.

When I was in labor with my 3rd, I had stop-start contractions and they were not really doing much. I got to about the half-way point and labor totally stopped.

The midwife told me to take a long, warm shower and use the shower-massage on my chest. Strong stimulation of the nipple causes hormones to be released that can trigger labor.

My son was almost born in the shower! I barely got to the birthing bed because the urge to push was so strong by the time the midwife got down the hall with a wheelchair.

Now, keep this in mind, and take the very good advice from Jessalyn, and SophieLain and pokey - and have a good evening.

Castor oil worked great for me with my first son, did nothing for me with my second. Best of luck with all the great advice, hope you guys have an easy quick delivery! The last month can be very uncomfortable to put it nicely.

none of that ever worked for me! well, i never tried the caster oil thing but besides that, i was always a week overdue with all my kids except for one.

Most (if not all) are wive's tales. If you're ready to go into labor, then you'll go. Having an orgasm isn't going to go *BOOM* baby is born. Just let it come naturally if it's going to happen before induction. Just be forewarned, being induced STINKS! It really, really cramps everything up and hurts like the dickens. My first, I was in labor for over a day, they broke my water, contractions stopped, so they induced me, then like 12 hours later, I FINALLY had him, after a LOT of cramping pain. I even had the epidural. Our second came completely naturally, with no pain meds and I didn't have the crazy painful back labor like I had when they induced me. So... if she gets induced, call for the epidural a little early, because it can take 30-60 minutes.

I agree with waiting...I was overdue and due for induction and went into labor the night before it was scheduled on my first child.

ETA: Plus about a week before that(another wivestale to follow), my hubby took me for a long ride on a really bumpy rocky road...Don't know if that had anything to do with it or not but we had fun!

Hubby and i did some loving.. then went shopping.. by the time we were shopping.. i could barely make it down to the end of the mall without doubling over in pain.. so we walked(well, he walked, i hobbled and nearly crawled lol) then off to the hospital.. but they did have to break my water to keep the labor going:) i wasn't over due but i wanted the baby out.. pelvic pain, braxton hicks at work. and i didn't want my water to break in the middle of the factory. so.. good luck:)
