Casual Fridays at work

Casual Fridays are funish, but i never understood the point of having a dress code if you have Casual Fridays.

I wear a tie to work every day. Today is my last day at this job, so i came in sans a tie. Took a couple hours before anyone noticed.

I'm so bad. Since I medically retired in 2007, I wear out ten times as many sets of PJs as I do street clothes each year. Bra? What's a bra?

Poor DH. The day he was injured on the job back in March of this year was the last day for long sleeves and ties for the season. The day he went back to work was the first day back in long sleeves and tie for the season.

Right now every workday except Mondays is casual dress day for him. They wear call outs Friday, Saturday and Sunday. He has to wear the dress uniform on Mondays. Come the first of the year the schedule changes and he'll work weekdays. In a dress uniform all week. I don't envy him. But at least he doesn't have to wear a bra.

When I worked in hospitals it was white uniforms and hose, and half the nurses wore caps. My school didn't even have a cap. I once started to pass up a DON job because he said caps were required; he then changed his mind. (Of course it turned out to be a lousy workplace anyway.) My last 20 or so years of work required business clothes. It is SO good to see nurses in scrubs now.
