Or...you could do what I do: Keep him in the house where he cannot molest the native wildlife. House cats are every bit as happy and far less prone to get hit--or eaten or poisoned or worse--than their outdoor brothers.

i try to keep the cat in the house, but when he cries it sounds like a woman screaming
we always give in to him
and let him out

My sister also closes her windows now. In her case it was stepping on the dead mouse in her bare feet on the way to the bathroom that got kitty trapped inside for the night. The live ermine the cat brought in the house didn't help either.

Tell kitty you are proud, and get rid of the kill a quickly as possible.
