My 3 legged cat, Nancy, went missing in the middle of June. we searched for 2 weeks straight asking all the neighbors if they had seen her. After another week and several neighbors mentioning that they saw a coyote in the area, we resigned ourselves to thinking she would not survive. Tonight, she came home. She has always been skinny, but right now she is practically skin and bones. It seems like she was eating, but not regularly.
She has no visible cuts or injuries, but we are still scheduling an appt. with the vet tomorrow for Friday. What I'm trying to figure out is how to get the weight back on her. She is an indoor/outdoor cat (she literally screams and climbs the window screens trying to get out) but we are going to try to keep her in for as long as possible.
