my one and only (temporarily one n only) rooster has a patch of pink flesh exposed. he has 2-4 different colours on his body and iv been keeping him since quiet a while now so i guess im really worried bout him. i have come to the conclusion that there is a predator problem: cat(s). another of my really young hens (did not start laying eggs yet) also started limping yesterday and died today. she was fine the night before and super hyper, extremely healthy and very social and interactive with other chickens. i really need help here...

Regardless of who the predator is, you need to identify how they have gained access to your flock.

    Can you describe your setup?

Find out what time the cat comes around, then go out with a shotgun when the cat comes around. BOOM! No more kitty, problem solved. That or set a Havahart trap set, when the cat is trapped, take it to the pound.

Cats and many other predators are readily box trapped and dispatched. Fortify your runs/coops and catch and eliminate the predators.
