CAT WITH GAPING HOLE IN HIS EAR!! HELP

Hello,

I know this place is a chicken forum, but I did not know where to turn to. I have a two year old large cat, with a hole in his ear. He got in a cat fight or something, and he suffered a hole all the way through his ear. It scabbed over, he seemed to be getting better, but then he sat down to scratch his ear, and the scab cam off, and pus, and blood came out. The ear had swelled up pretty substantially. Some one help please.

If you want to help him naturally, use manuka honey. It should help it heal real quick.

Take it to a vet. Seems like an abscess happened as is usual in bite wounds. You’ll need antibiotics from the vet.

Probably best to take your kitty to a vet. Sounds like an abscess that needs professional care.

I would probably go to the vet, but I will say collodial silver is a very strong almost antibiotic like for wounds

That’s a hematoma of the ear. It means blood pocket. The ear filled with blood and puss from the bacteria in the attackers mouth. You still need to take it to the vet.

I wont be able to see a vet until maybe Wednesday. How much money are we looking at to treat him? What can I do to help him before then?

I would suggest an emergency vet then. Your cost is determined by your area.
