I will call my local vet tomorrow, I live about 100 miles from a emergency vet. I will call as soon has they open tomorrow morning is there is any thing I need to do before then?

I would probably leave it alone and call tomorrow. Your vet should see your kitty right away for something like this.I will call my local vet tomorrow, I live about 100 miles from a emergency vet. I will call as soon has they open tomorrow morning is there is any thing I need to do before then?
I have rubbing alcohol on hand will that work? Or will I need to go get some?
I would not recommend peroxide.
"Using hydrogen peroxide or rubbing alcohol to clean an injury can actually harm the tissue and delay healing. The best way to clean a minor wound is with cool running water and mild soap. Rinse the wound for at least five minutes to remove dirt, debris, and bacteria."
Sorry but hydrogen peroxide is used in abscesses like this. My vet uses it for this same purpose and I’ve used it to treat wounds in wild animals that I am rehabbing.
