CAT WITH GAPING HOLE IN HIS EAR!! HELP

I will call my local vet tomorrow, I live about 100 miles from a emergency vet. I will call as soon has they open tomorrow morning is there is any thing I need to do before then?
I would probably leave it alone and call tomorrow. Your vet should see your kitty right away for something like this.

I would not recommend peroxide. Not sure I would consider this wound minor but still no on peroxide or alcohol.

"Using hydrogen peroxide or rubbing alcohol to clean an injury can actually harm the tissue and delay healing. The best way to clean a minor wound is with cool running water and mild soap. Rinse the wound for at least five minutes to remove dirt, debris, and bacteria."

Sorry but hydrogen peroxide is used in abscesses like this. My vet uses it for this same purpose and I’ve used it to treat wounds in wild animals that I am rehabbing.

Hydrogen peroxide is used to clean an abscess. It's unclear if this cat has an abscess or a hematoma, so a vet is best for the correct course of action to treat the cat properly.

It is absolutely not supposed to be used. Some say you can use it one time as the initial cleaning if there are absolutely no other options.

Stick with the warm water and mild soap until a vet can be seen. I was a vet tech for many years, I or the vets I worked with would never recommend it.
