Can I put chickens in the same place as cats are?
NO! Cats will kill every one
Are you sure
my cat loves all my chickens and chicks...she kinda thinks she is a chicken
My cats leave my full grown chickens alone. I wouldn't trust even the best cat with small or baby chicks....
Probably depends on your cat. Our chickens annoy our cat so much and he wants nothing to do with them. He was interested in the chicks when it was one on one, but when they ganged up on him he chickened out.
Ok, right now the chicks are 11 days old,
I will put them in july 31 hopefully,
would they be at the age good to put them togather
I'm confused (my normal state of mind )...are you wanting to keep house chickens in with house cats or cats in the coop with chickens or free ranging the chickens with outdoor cats?
Depends on that cat. My house cats are used to the babies being around and they don't hurt them. I have an outside that just showed up and I was about to trap him but he proved his worth by rescuing Turk from a Road Runner and several others from an owl. He hasn't hurt them, he is great with the babies, but other cats I wouldn't trust until they proved themselves.
I'd stay with them if you are going to try and put them together. Just sit where you can see if the cat goes into stalking or "playing" mode. Sometimes they think the younger birds are toys and when the they run or fight the hunting instinct comes out, it's only natural, that is what cats do.
Ok I want to put chickens with the cats, Its a garden shed!
It has cat door to go out side, that will go, Im putting a runway up,
