Cataract or something else? (PIC)

I dont know much about this hen. She came out of a hoarding situation. The first thing I noticed about this one is that she is almost always hidden. Her behavior/movements made me think she was old. Today I was able to get my hands back on her and take a closer look. The eye is open, the inner eyelid is also open. After I took the photo, I rinsed her eye out with some sterile water and it didnt change the appearance. She is clearly blind on the one side. The other eye appears normal. The bad eye almost looks like the white part is gouged into her eyeball.

She has difficulty finding the food and water so Ive cooped her so she gets her fair share. And ideas?

I am sorry that no one was able to help you with your hen. I hope that she is doing well under your care. She does certainly appear to be blind in that eye. This was possibly caused by a previous infection or injury. She will always be a special needs bird. However, birds that have lost an eye can do very well with a little extra care.
