I can't remember the post I was reading but my roosters comb has a little purple on it. Is this something I can take care of? Is his diet missing something? Catch doesn't seem to be in distress I hope I can help him.

What breed of rooster is Catch?
A Silkie's skin is black so their comb will be purple.
If he's a regular type roo, pick him up and listen to him breathe, if you can.
He should sound like a set of bellows with no clicks or rattles or wheezes...
When Slifer wheezed, I'd put Buckley's Mixture, a really nasty tasting cough medicine for people in her water and put Vicks on her nose...I don't have Vetrx, but the Buckley's has most of the same ingredients.
His comb should also feel sort of warm because that where they loose heat from when it's hot out.

The first challenge is to catch Catch.I will or I'll have my son help. Can you find Buckley's mixture in Wal-Mart? I have never heard of that.I really don't know what kind of rooster he is but he has this strange crow he has rusty orange around his neck and has green tail feathers he is handsome.Thank you for your help. I am really new at the chicken thing.

Your best bet is to catch Catch at nightfall when everyone's gone to bed.
I have to special order Buckley's at CVS. It's not formulated for off purpose use, wink wink...
If it's viral, antibiotics won't help...unfortunately...it has to go through it's course.

That's great news.
