Probably sounds like a silly question, but hoiw do you catch and transport (short distance in a car) Runner Ducks without injuring their legs? There's been no reason to catch them until now, so I'm quite apprehensive about the possibility of injuring them.

How many do you need to catch? Free ranging or in a pen?

As you know, Runners are little crazy and freak out easily. When we had chickens we just transported them kinda squished down in a box or gunnie sack. Is it the same with ducks? They are siblings so should they be put in the same container or seperate??

Herd them into a corner and confine them there. Depending on how long they are going to be in a container, get something that they can lay in comfortably but if they are going to be in there for more than 30-60 minutes something they can stand in. The size of the container will depend on whether or not you can put them together. A box is fine make sure they have something for traction they can stand on, an old towel, shavings etc.

Okay, thanks. Good idea about the towel for tractionm and comfort. Wish me luck!
