Cats & Peacock!

This evening the guinias were by my compost pile to open up their pen. They all went in and ate like there was no tomorrow!

I let. my guinias out today and they disappeared. I found them several hrs later up in several trees chased by a dog. The reason I found them was a guinia hen came a got me and I follewed her to the trees! That was weird!

Your birds learned a good lesson today, how to escape a predator sometimes it takes losing one for the rest to learn, at least they got away and they will remember and do not panic if the peas fly up in the trees to escape also, they too will come down when they feel safe, I freaked the first couple times my spooked and took off now I just laugh at them.

My guineas ,geese and peas will come up to the house when I am inside and start making racket and sure enough there is a wild critter of some kind lurking or one of the pups I have in training is being naughty, you build a bond with them if you spend a lot of time with them, you learn to read them and they can read you also.
I love it , there is so much to learn from them when they are free, i
wished everyone could let theirs free and not have them get hurt or lost, it is so wonderful

clocked them running beside my 4-wheeler and they got up to 8mph and could have run faster but they decided to take flight, guess they did not want to get out run by something with wheels

Here we go again! I've been gone so I didn't let my Guinnies out for a few days. Well I let them out today and they disappeared on me. To started walking towards the field and low and behold they were back up in a tree! I only counted 13 as the flew by! The other 2 joined them some time later in the front yard! What's wrong with them? Don't they know that there is a big white dog down there, and he likes to run them up a tree!

Looking outside the sky is dark. We have what is called a blue northerner . It will get down to 38• tonight and 24• tomorrow night! I gape my birds keep warm! There house has hay in it along with hay bales along the sides and a heat light in it. Do you think they will Stay warm?
