I'm new to this thread! I'm still dealing with the loss of my 14 year old cat Davros. Here's a photo I took of him asleep in the Monopoly box last year

I was thinking about replacing him with 2 kittens. I was wondering if anyone had any tips for bonding with a cat who already has feline companionship? Tbh I don't really want cats if they're not really interested in me! Any thoughts welcome :)
I once rescued 2 kittens who were maybe 4-5 weeks old. We were never sure if they were related but they turned out to be very loving. Yes, one was more aloof than the other one but he had an adventurous nature. They were indoor/outdoor cats but he always wanted to be outside more than inside. He came in every morning for his food and loves and spent some time napping. Otherwise, he preferred to stay outside in his yard or on the carport. The female was super loving and preferred inside to outside and slept on my bed every night. The male only spent time on my bed in the colder months. They both lived to be around 14 years old and I miss them terribly. They always roamed the yard and immediate areas together and played together, sometimes very roughly, and enjoyed each other's company. They often pushed and shoved for who would sleep the closest to me and where when they were on my bed. They were too funny about that sometimes.

They always take a piece of your heart with them.......my best advice to you is head for the nearest shelter. I'm sure they would allow you to spend some time with the cats' that you are drawn to so that you can decide which of the unfortunates' are going home with you. Good luck,

Thanks so much for your thoughts everyone. I'm definitely thinking about a shelter cat/kitten. Another question: is it a bad idea to get two kittens from different sources? I'm assuming that kittens adjust to new cats easier than an adult one would.

I don't think it's bad to get two different cats from different sources.

As long as you introduce them right, you should have no problems at all!
