Beast is the one on the left sleeping with smashy (his girlfriend), I think he is a Russian Blue but not sure as he just turned up one day and never left! He is amazingly strong, I have scars to prove! impossible to get pills down him and only eats raw beef fillet. He pulled his leg muscle out somehow and had a piece of bone attached to it, so they operated and put an elastic band in, he was supposed to rest for six weeks, but he was up in three days and climbed out the top window but is fine - never known a cat quite like him in all my cat years!

Too sweet! Moo looks really comfy, wish I could join her dream today, just had bad news about my Rubin he has kidney failure he is 15 but still so loved.
Sorry to hear that. So many cats end up with kidney failure, you have to wonder. Is it the food? The flea medication? The products we use to clean? It's something. Wishing you the best under the sad circumstances.

Shame, thanks so much for your concern I totally agree with you about the flea medication the stuff smells absolutely poisonious. You are right it is definitely something,

Not having a good day all round, totally off the point but my hubby just took my little bantam to the vet she has been sick for so long and he put her down as there was nothing more they could do, and on top of all that my Kenwood has blown up, must be because Mercury is in retrograde or some such thing.

Hi all! New to BYC. I have two cats, two dogs (Pitbulls)and 10 chickens. Better not forget 4 kids ages 17-5 years. Yes they ALL hang out together everyday. I'm definitely the pack leader so everything's flows very well. I have a call for chickens, different call for dogs, cats and kids. They all come running when I call them :) my neighbor said he's never seen all the animals I have ( esp. Pittbulls) hanging out like they do. :) I feed everyone so I have the power! :) here is my first family pet "Besa". We named him cervesa but my daughter couldn't say it. She always said Besa and it caught on. He's going to be 10 in October. 5 years ago he almost died from a block in his urinary tract. He couldn't pee for days and it was building up poisoning him. $500 later he survived and we have to keep him on a urinary tract food. No more problems. We love him dearly:)
700

Besa is half Russian Blue. A breeder had a stray tom get ahold of her female and she couldn't sell the litter. Lucky for us:) love all the cat pictures. They are the easiest of all my animals to care for. :)

Sorry about your hen. I know I am extremely attached to all of my animals, including the chickens. And, well, my sister would totally agree that it's Mercury. I tend to be on the fence about those kinds of things, maybe more of a believer than not, but she lives by that stuff. I hope your day improves.

Kitty looks a bit intimidated - let that chicken pass... The chickens at the barn where I keep my horse used to attack their cat - he learned quickly to stay clear!
Got to watch those urinary track blocks. It's a real emergency when they get them as they can die in only a few days.

whoop whoop -- I am so sorry about your hen.

I've had in the last three weeks problems with two hen and now a Rooster. He was trying to talk but he was gasping for air then he fell down on the dirt and then I thought he was gone but, he stood up walked over and drank some water. Hubby and I think he had a stroke or a seizure not sure. He started going down hill at the same time my hen wasn't feeling well and the other hen was being pecked at. Hubby says if that is what happened to Roo this afternoon he could die in a couple of days. I haven't updated it since yesterday. You can read about that here.

Cat are having a good day laying in the 80 degree sun out on deck and some in the sun-room. What a life they have. Nothing to worry about unless their bowls is half empty.

Need to check on Roo now.

Actually my day did get better I went to bed as we had a power cut.and felt miserable, Isn't it funny when you are feeling down your animals seems to know because everyone joined me!! Sorry for the mess not always so untidy.
