Hey there everybody! Just dug up this thread in my notifications and over a year ago I asked about getting new kittens and got some great advice. I now have my 10 month old kitten Stella whom I got at 7 weeks of age. I've heard a lot about female cats being more aloof than males but Stella loves human companionship and is the most affectionate little creature I've owned. :) A pic, because y'all love those ;)
What a gorgeous cat! :love

I'm so happy to hear Moo is continuing to improve!

Awww, he looks like the sweetest little thing in that picture!

That's just it, he IS the sweetest thing. He's getting better each week. His creatinine is now 2.9 and other levels improving as well. I'm thinking it's the herbs, and he is getting a ton of them (the sub-q fluids too). And he's gained two pounds. He's running around like a maniac again with Scooter (whose paws he rests his head in in the pic). Thank you for your good thoughts!

I just got a new cat last night and she ran away. Can any of you guys give me some tips where to look?

I'm so sorry.

Cats do have a tendency to try to return to their old territory so your cat likely tried to go home. Cats that are house-tame will go up to people's doors in search of food while cats use to barns will take shelter there. If you go around asking local people if they've seen your cat they very likely have and then you can track it down. Putting up posters will help people keep an eye out for your cat. Did you get the cat from a shelter, owner, or breeder? A tame cat may come to a familiar voice if the old owner is willing to come and call for it. Put out familiar food.

I really hope you can find your cat. Don't give, when we lost our dog she was gone for over a week with no word and we thought she had died from the seizure that made her run away. But she was found miles and miles away on someones farm and found her way home where she is healthy and happy.

Best of luck!

Her owners house is abouy 30 miles from where we live. It was raining when she left so im concerned she might not be able to find her way back. I took the crate we drove her home in, and there was still some of her hair in it. Would that help her find her way back.

She will unlikely find her way back to your house (she has not memorized where it is yet), however, if she is still around and catches her scent in the crate she very likely will go near it.

Thanks GitaBooks! I also took one of her old toys and made a drop trap using the toy as bait. The toy is full of cat treats so we'll see what happens.

So glad to hear that! Your very welcome!
