Oh my goodness, he is precious.
Just thought I would share some new pictures of our cat, Nym, and our new puppy Epsilon. Believe it or not, the two are playing, even if they looked nasty. Nym seemed to be biting and clawing hard, but he never hurt Epsilon and though Oopsie (the puppy's nickname) kept tackling the cat Nym didn't leave which proved he was enjoying himself.
Nym cuddling with his "father" Rax. Nym loves when Rax just grooms him, but sometimes Rax tries to play like Epsilon does and weighing 90 lbs, Nym isn't too excited about that.
I do have an important question as well that I hope I can be helped with. I have shared with you the story of Pi, the feral tom cat that was hit by a car. He suffers from partial blindness, deafness, and his front right leg is lame (as you can see he holds it in the air). However, it has been a few years and he remains in good shape and manages to make his way all around town quite well.
This winter, however, I noticed his fur was matting on his back and a few days later it all fell out. Is this a sign of mange or something else? Could the other cats be at risk of mange? The pictures look bad but they were taken at night and it was quite misty. It is hard to see the missing fur because he noticed us and turned to hop away. Hopefully it gives you an idea though. Thanks for any help!

Hi there - I expect your problem is solved by now - for some reason I didn't get notification.... Anyway, mange is spreadable from cat to cat, depending on the type of mange. A trip to the vet may set you back some $$$, so try herbal 1st. Increase sulfur intake - garlic. Add it to food or water. You can try to give the cat a shampoo () with hydrogen peroxide added to the water, or dab it directly on the skin to remove any dead, flaky skin. On all my animals I use a comfrey & plantain salve to heal open areas, it works well and is non-toxic.![]()
Mange is caused by mites, so you could try a topical mite treatment too. Good luck & keep us posted...
