Cattle Panel Question

I'll take pictures as I go. It's tough to really explain as only half of the tall wall side will be attached to the coop, I'll be building basically a stud wall to extend the length beyond the coop to catch the winter sun. Then I'll grow things on it like you for summer shade. I hope to get started pretty quickly here so pics could be soon!
I zip tied the ones I used on my tractor; no problems yet, but the sun's uv can't get through the tarp to ruin them. I'm wondering, though, if cage clips, like you'd use for building wire cages or live traps, would be strong enough or large enough.

2x4 wire really can collect snow!
It sure can!!
Especially wet snow, especially when preceded by freezing rain.

BTDT.....also didn't bend far enough to kink so sprang back nicely.
Was able to crouch down, wade thru 18" of snow, and get it all knocked off from inside the run...NOT fun.
That's when I started shoveling a path all the way down the run and knock snow off regularly during heavy events....and install the prop sticks I told you about ;)

I think someone somewhere said they won't fit the heavy guage wire.

This is not a fun job, I can now vouch for that. Nothing you can wear actually stops that ice from getting in.
Yes even one prop would have helped. Then again that was alot of weight. I was standing outside just now listening, saw a huge limb crash out of a pine in my yard. By the time I went in a few more crashed down and I heard things snapping and crashing across the road. Nerve wracking to be sure. I just had some trees looked at that are iffy, one is a huge maple wth a limb right over my roof. Fingers crossed.

Mine did great through several wild and windy Wyoming winters. No framing, the hoop flexed with the weather because it wasn't fighting it.

We were talking about 2x4 welded wire and the snow load.

We used hose clamps to tie the cattle panels together, husbands idea- he's the smart one :)
That's not a bad idea...pricey tho, and the sharp edges might wear poorly on tarped surfaces.
