caught in a live trap

My kids wouldn't let me shoot the one i cought. So i went 15 miles down the road and let it go. It didn't try to attackj me it was glad it was free. Still have the trap out there and 2 months later nothing so it didn't find it's way back

This might sound really gross, but you can turn it into feed for your chickens. I had read about this once but never got around to trying it until DH shot a mink that had eaten all my baby chicks. I guess you could say he had it comin'

Shoot the bugger. Take his stinky carcass and put it in a bucket (5 gal) with many 1/4" to 1/2" holes drilled in the bottom. Cover it up if you wish to keep the stink down a little. Hang the bucket over an area where the chickens range (preferably not too close to where people hang out). Wait.

Flies will find their way into the bucket and lay eggs. After about a week the maggots will wriggle their way out and fall through the holes in the bottom. Chicken feast!

I did this last week with the mink and hung the bucket in an inconspicuous place. I did it mostly because I was too lazy to dig a hole to bury him. This morning I noticed all my hens hovered under the bucket. Upon closer inspection I saw that the maggots were slowly dropping out of the bucket and the girls were snatching them up as fast as they fell.

I hate those things! Shoot it. If you don't it will just keep coming back for the all you can eat chicken buffet.

Never thought about that way .....
That will give DH something to think about free meal for the chickens........
Save a little on food cost.....

If it is a female it might have babies in her pouch. Just a thought. We have killed 3 skunks on our place in the last 2 days. Talk about stink. My DH missed the big mama one, still hunting for her.
