As far as getting her a friend, not sure. A fellow BYC'er from Ohio generously offered a really nice roo but we aren't set up to handle the boys, with happy neighbors (to keep them happy). I am sooo tempted to get some more chicks, but there's no guarantee they would become buddies and we have 21 pullets/hens already....so we'd have to go through the 'integration' process again (but I really really want more chicks--I have a problem and am not afraid to admit it!)..so I don't know what we'll do...we already have three different coop/run set-ups plus the brooder is divided in the barn with our Sultan pullet recovering from having her topknot yanked out by two little cochins, and a sickly looking Gold Comet). Sigh--be responsible or be happy?
