My 12 week old pullets were caught in the rain last night. Somehow their door came unhooked and closed during the night while we were having a storm and this morning I looked out and 3 of them were standing next to the door, looking at in wet confusion.

My ducks were having a good ol' time in their pool at the same time.......

I ran out and opened the door and they didn't go inside right away. They do have a heat lamp inside where they could go to dry out.

Should I worry about them? They weren't soaked, just a little damp on the back and head. The pullets that were in the house when the door closed, ran out and started pecking at the ground even though it was still raining. I made sure the door would stay open today so they could go in and out if they want.

Of course, the ducks are in heaven with all the rain we've been getting.

It would have been a good idea to put them inside and let them get dry instead of letting them stay outside.
However, if they dried out pretty fast and are running around acting normal, they are probably just fine.
