Wanted Normal Guineas!!

Looking for ones that eat ticks, kill snakes and sound the alarm when there is danger.
Not ones that eat all my chicken feed, poke holes in the bags of horse feed to spread the pellets all over the floor to get the corn, chase the goats, and only scream and screech when we sit down to enjoy a nice quiet family dinner.

"NOT A SPIDER!" Story:

So one day Jessi and I were dusting and de-worming ALL the chickens...(it was a long day). We were hot and sweaty and were down to the last few birds when I went to hand Jessi a chicken and couldn't help but scream at the top of my lungs, which is pretty darn loud. There was a HUGE BLACK dot running around all over her chest! She saw my reaction and proceeded to jump up and down and scream a lot while hitting herself all over.

So then she stops and looks at me and asks, "Is it gone?"
As I looked her over the big black thing ran across her chest really fast like it was trying to find a place to hide and my reply to her was, "AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!"
So she stripped her shoes off, ran up the stairs and was fully naked by the time she reached the top, where her husband was waiting for her wondering why the heck everybody was screaming.
He checked her over and couldn't find anything so she put on new clothes and came back down. She asked me what it was, and I said, "It was a HUGE black ROACH!"
She looked at me dissapointed and said, "Oh. Next time say NOT A SPIDER!"

They are fisher spiders and they pop up all over the place here...I wont go in the celler because of them. To give you the idea of size, think palm of your hand, size of a square tile, or once I trapped one in a mason jar (while standing on the toilet, squealing, and poking at it with a loooooong handled broom) and it filled the bottom with legs touching the sides.

Snakes, bats, rats, possums..whatever, I will wrestle it bare-handed Steve Irwin style..... Spiders--NO WAY!! We'll have to get Kelly on here to tell the "It's NOT a spider story"..lol

Know what you mean about spiders they have been known to trap in the bathroom until brave hubby (AKA Spider Squad) can come and save his damsel in distress!! Having a snake in the rafters would make me crazy thinking it would drop on me. Good luck getting it out of there.

Soooooo.....I was wrong about 4 feet. We saw it again and were able to grab it. We grabbed the tail half and had to smoke her front half out!!
She just kept coming and coming..I finally had the head on the outside of the building and Ollie had the tail and was still IN the building!!

Kelly is almost 5'11"!

o.k. so you guys are definitely not afraid of snakes. I am of the not afraid of spiders and bugs variety (why is it usually an either/or thing?) unless they are poisonous but snakes, it doesn't matter if they are harmless or not for my 'fear factor'
as Emily Dickinson said in her lovely poem A Narrow fellow in the Grass
But never met this fellow,
Attended or alone,
Without a tighter breathing,
And zero at the bone.

Glad to hear you got it out of there without harm to it or the chicks to be.

heehee, didn't think i would be quoting poetry on the byc....forgive me folks

Thanks for the poetry, love Emily Dickinson! Kelly's boyfriend liked the snake so much, he took it home with him. Kelly just found them both asleep on the couch!
