Caught Zoe Eating an Egg!!

When i went to check on my chickens, guess who i caught eating up an egg? Zoe!!! my little bantam. eating a big egg, so i know it wasn't hers. i had seen this egg in the box this morning, and i don't believe it was pre- cracked. is she lacking minerals? what can i do to break this habit?

Rollaway nests are probably the best permanent solution, but hopefully you can break her. You could put several fake eggs in each nest and hope she gives up. I think it's mustard that actually dissuades them (blow out an egg and fill with mustard)) but not sure.

Well, really, I hope she found it broken or cracked, because that doesn't mean she is a real "egg eater."

I hope she isn't a real egg eater too! i have been getting eaten eggs a lot lately... so i hope it was pre-cracked! but Neon would have eaten it first..
