Causes for blindness?

Wondering what causes for blindness in chickens are, I want to completely rule out mereks disease for adopting one of the hens I want to get. Shes a speckled sussex and shes been blind in both eyes since we first met her (atleast 6-8 months) and does well even with being blind. Her eyes are pretty funky looking and i can probably get pictures when Im at the farm next!

I can get pictures of her on saturday, I dont believe she was and my best guesses are mereks, eye infection, or parasite its a little like this but with some green

IF I were you, I'd stay away from that bird and that farm as far as possible.
If you already have birds, and bring the farm bird into your flock, with or without quarantine, I guarantee you your birds will be infected with whatever that farm bird has. Think biosecurity!

I mean I cant stay away from the farm as its kind of a safe place for me, and all birds I would be getting are from the farm already.
