**CAUTION** Do NOT purchase from Rocky Hammock Farm!

I have had great experiences getting hatching eggs from Omega Hills Farm, Alabama Silkies, and even a small, almost local, breeder, with pretty decent hatch rates. I have gotten better with my technique each time too. This last hatch was 5 out of 7 shipped eggs!

I try to get local, but living in the sticks, plus exotic taste in birds, equals shipped eggs.

File a chargeback with your credit card- let them fight it out with company.
Sorry for your experience and thank you for taking the time to warning others.

I purchased hatching eggs 5 years ago from papas poultry in CA and I live in NC. I had a great hatch rate. And upon candle lighting all were fertile and growing. I think I only had 1 or 2 that did not hatch. I think shipping eggs is not an issue if done correctly.

I have noticed the larger the egg, the more chance something has to occur to it. I've had many eggs shipped to me which much pain for the larger eggs. Bantams eggs have a much better chance of making it through the mail. Of course distance is always an issue as well.
