Cayuga and Muscovy

I don't know where you are located but I have a very sweet drake[Muscovy] that could use a home where he would be top drake. He will be 1 in April. My criteria for a good home is very high though, thats why he is still here. He even has his own girlfriend she will be 1 in May.
Awww he looks like a sweet guy. I'm in Southern California around the San Diego area. I have chickens that are very beloved pets so I completely understand your high standards for a new home :) I won't be ready for ducks untill this summer though so even if we are close and I do meet your criteria it still may not work out.

There are very few hatcheries that sell Muscovy.  Meyer does and JM Hatchery.  I'm not sure if they sell cayugas and I don't think they sex them.  I also don't know what their minimums are but if I remember correctly I think JM is 15 or 25.

You may be better off trying to find adult birds locally.  That way you know what the gender is.

Thanks for the tips. I guess I'll have to start looking around. Probably won't get exactly the ducks I want, but as long as I find a female muscovy it will be alright. One more question, would it be ok to ask people on this forum if they have ducks they are willing to sell or would that be considered soliciting? Thank you so much for all your help!
