I had forgotten how fast they grow. They are not even a week old yet and have almost doubled in size. At least I don't have to worry about them squeezing through the opening on their kennel/pen any more. Also, what a mess they can be. My first six ducks were messy, and now I have 18 healthy and trying to win some sort of messy medal.

Ducks, like chickens, do not need males in order to lay eggs. Most domestic ducks mature between 20-24 weeks of age, they can start earlier if conditions are perfect, but typically you will not see eggs before the 20th week if that early.

My cayugas will not eat their food. At all. They are really hungry but hate every food we have tried. They prefer tomatoes and treats! Idk what to do!! Any advice? And yes we have tried making a mixture but they only eat the treats and shake the food off
