Ah ya, the heat of Ca central San Joaquin valley can really get up there. Makes us act like this sometimes..
Glad I don't face it anymore... never mind almost the worst air in the nation. 
Anyways, some family member who kept rabbits would even put a fan blowing over the frozen milk jug.. which if not creating an oven convection feeling can make the temperature feel a solid 4 degrees cooler.
Floating the milk jugs in the water source can help keep the temp down there too.
