Hen around 6 months.

Near black egg here is from a Cayuga hen's first laying. Gray one is probably a second egg.

2 black cayuga ducklings in with brown KC and yellow WH. Back when my ducks were first in the brooder.

OMG their eggs are that dark ? That makes me want some. Are yours that dark Aubrey ?

all cayugas vary from near black to off white, none ever seem to lay all black all the time, you tend to get a mix

Well hello there kinda neighbor LOL

Right now I just have ducks free ranging together, I have:

1 Blue Swedish Drake
1 Black Swedish Duck
3 Buff Ducks ( EGGcellent Broodies)
1 Rouen Duck
1 Blue Swedish X Buff Duck ( Blue Swedish colored)
1 Blue Swedish X Buff young Drake, ( Blue Swedish colored)

One of the Buffs hatched 12 Ducklings about two weeks ago and the other 2 of the Buffs and the BS X Buff hen are setting right now, one has duck eggs from my ducks, one has turkey eggs, and one has call duck eggs from tonini that I am hoping to be able to add the list when they hatch.

EDIT The one that hatched the 12 ducklings a couple weeks ago is now broody again, I'd like to get a few more call eggs to go under her.

90% of the time my Cayuga eggs are light grey. These were just from the start of their laying cycle.
