Cayuga x Muscovy gender help??!!

Hi,

I got these lovely little mules today for $10. Very sweet, so quiet.

Any idea what gender? I tried to get girls, these were smaller, less upright, no green on the backs only wing tips. They are 8 months. They barely make a noise when the quack because of the Muscovy it's a squeak quack.

With Mules it can be very tricky, They are gorgeous though. Might be getting some eggs soon if 8months then you'll know for sure.

I hear mule hens don't always lay? The man i got them from said he found 1 or 2 eggs only from the 13 he had.

They may not lay well and their off spring will be sterile but I'd think you'd probably get some eggs. I don't know that much about mules. I just have the one side Muscovy. And they are not interested at all in my Runner or Buffs.
