CCL something wrong

I have a CCL that is 21 weeks old her flock mate laid her first egg this morning i saw her sitting and not looking right and I looked at her vent and she had what looked like egg menbrane sticking out I pulled all of it out there is alittle bit of blood her area around the vent does not feel like anything is hard or mushy but she does not feel good she is not eating and not really moving around at all could the egg contents be inside or shell I cannot feel anything out of place does anyone have any suggestions on what could be wrong

Sounds like an egg got stuck, maybe a soft shelled egg, or broke inside her. I would soak her in a warm bath for a little while then put her in a quier, darkened place for 24 hours or so, to try to get her to relax and maybe pass the rest of whatever may be left inside. If you think there may be shell fragments in there, I wouldn't feel around inside. You can put a little Preparation H or honey around the vent and just inside to help reduce dwelling.
