A few of our 12-week-old chickens are having yellowish poops (sometimes foamier, sometimes more pudding-like than pictured), but are otherwise eating, drinking, and acting energetic. Their combs are all as red as usual. We have also seen them each take normal poops in between the scarier looking poops, which tend to occur in the afternoon - evening.

I'm a little concerned about coccidiosis since we've had a lot of rain and humidity recently, not to mention that we transitioned our chicks from medicated feed about a week ago (they had already been outside for a couple months). I'm willing to treat with Corid, at least preventatively, but I don't want to jump to conclusions. Any thoughts or suggestions?

As always, thank you everyone! I'm very new at this and appreciate any insight you can provide.

Those look normal to me, yes, cecal poops. How the birds act is just as important as how the droppings look and it sounds like they are all acting fine. Being aware of what is normal and noting changes is good. All sorts of things can cause changes, hot weather and drinking a lot, some things they eat, parasites, illness. It's always good to note changes and make sure you aren't missing anything. Here are some poop charts, for your reading pleasure. :lau

Thank you once again for your helpful input, and the great resources! I'll continue to remain watchful, but it's heartening to know the poops aren't necessarily red flags.
