KsKingBee,,consider this please? (A Peafowl egg) First when it's time to enter the cruel world immediatly after leaving your moms rear end,, within about 1/4 of a second you land hard and roll on the ground because your momma decided to "Perch Bomb" you to check for eggshell hardness. It is pouring down rain at the time and soon cold water is all around you. A few hours later when it's dark and the temps has dropped from the upper 70's to the low 50's you get picked up and put in a bucket for a long rough walk to the house. Next you go into a 60 degree refridgerator where at least twice a day for maybe 6 more days your rolled around and moved. Now it's incubator time where it's a hot and humid 100 degrees for another 4 weeks. Then I'm expected to hatch??

Celebrations of life are sacred here. Only occurs maybe 3 months for the total year and during that time the Peacocks are one of Gods greatest efforts at true beauty. The remaining 9 months of the year they are nothing special except for the expense to keep them alive to begin the same routine the next spring. No males calling at every stink'in noise they hear,,no long trains and no showing off. Chickens are more exciting for most of the year but during breeding season,,Peas cannot be beat,,,thus the reason to celebrate with a good cold glass of fermented grape nehi. Course you already know this,,I was just giving valid reasons for consumption of the grape nectar.

Candled first set I put in 2 weeks ago tonight and about 1/2 wasn't fertile but I expected that. They really slowed down this week on eggs going into the bator tomorrow night,,must be the stormy weather we've been having here.
