hello,
i have Ayam Cemani eggs in the incubator since 11 days now and today i candeld them for the first time.
and out of 12, 4 were not fertile, 2 i am not not sure yet i give them a few more days and check again.
and in 6 there is actually quite a bit of movement

wish me luck for the next 10 days

@Tingle do they have some brown feathers ? or is that just the light ?

Great, cant wait to see the pictures of chicks I also have 10 more eggs in the incubator so am hoping for some more chicks

What part of Germany did they come from? I have relatives over there, and visited Germany in 06. Good Luck with the eggs!

Mine cane from Durrohsdorf Dittersbach,both sets and I am now looking for another source in Europe so I can start a breeding flock

mine came from a village near Braunschweig (Germany).

i have no adress, cause the guy just put his name and zip code on the package.
i found him in Ebay

but i didnt buy them over ebay (just contactet him)to ask if he could sell me some faster cause i didnt want to wait

and he gave me his phone number. Thats why i have no adress.

and the other 2 eggs i waited on now were fertile,but 1 died there was just some red in there but no chicken. But the other
i guess was just a little late i can see it moving now also

I wonder if someone in the US could make some birds like this. I know we do not have any around. But I do believe I know the combination of genes responsible for this ever-so-black blackness. I think it is two copies of fibromelanosis and two copies of the gypsy face gene. I do not know what kind of body type they should have, It looks like leghorn type to me. Or Java with clean legs.
I actually have some Tomaru (which could give the gypsy face, extended black, and alot of the type genes. I also have a few young straight combed fibromelanistic roosters.
If anyone is interested I could put them together and get you some eggs when the rooster is old enough to breed.
This is just an idea, and it would just be a start, but someone could easily start a pseudo-cemani type project right here in the US.
THere may already be some. If you think I need to start another thread for that just say so. And if you would be interested in trying to start this project send me a PM.

i was wondering ,if you just send some eggs in a package to us mixed with cookies,candy bars ect and just write snacks on it
i mean do you think they check every single package ?
