Cement floor lofts Pro and Con

I'm looking to do a cement floor on in a new loft. We are in a very dry desert so ground water in not an issue. Is there any other reason not to do cement?

i think it would be easy to hose out and disinfect

Pro - easy to clean
Con - droppings take longer to dry out, leaving a longer window for bacteria to harbor in them

You may want to use some shavings or some type of bedding to help absorb the moisture

Becky Thing dry here so fast I don't see that as an issue but thaks for the thought. Lots of pine shaving and saw dust are always in the shop.. I was think of useing clean beach sand in avery.

Beach sand works great, like a litter box
